Swirling more and more out of control,
you’re skidding,
trying to grasp for some friction,
to help find your hold,
and as you edge to the edge,
to the point of being lost to existence,
your strength saves you,
like muscle memory,
from being here so many times,
that you know just where to find,
the rock,
the pillar,
the strong foundation,
that keeps you from falling over,
this same strength is what will pull you up,
pull me up,
carry us back to solid ground,
and while it’s easy to forget that she exists,
she does not once leave you alone,
for she is a part of you,
that will always belong.
